“Azerbaijani First Vice-President Mehriban Aliyeva’s initiative to plant 650,000 trees in the country in one day is a wonderful initiative. For Azerbaijan, this idea also has a deep meaning, since it commemorates the 650th birthday anniversary of the great Azerbaijani poet and thinker Imadaddin Nasimi,” world-renowned writer Chingiz Abdullayev has told AZERTAC.
Abdullayev said he hopes millions of citizens of the country will support this useful and necessary initiative. “The Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources will provide free distribution of trees to agencies and organizations, as well as anyone who is willing to participate in this initiative. Therefore, I call everyone to take an active part in the implementation of this noble initiative,” he said.
Initiated by Azerbaijan`s First Vice-President Mehriban Aliyeva, this project aims to promote the legacy of Imadaddin Nasimi all over the world.
